Story
Synopsis
A world built on law, oath, and power begins to collapse under the curse it tried to control.
Ashes of Valhalla begins with a wound that becomes a curse. Rejected and humiliated, Alberich, a Nibelung dwarf, renounces love to steal the Rhinegold and forge a Ring that grants absolute power. But the Ring carries the cost of the act that created it: whoever possesses it becomes bound by its hunger.
Wotan, King of the Gods, believes he can control the force Alberich has unleashed. He builds Valhalla as a monument to order, but the price of his bargains begins to poison the world he hoped to rule. Giants, gods, mortals, and warriors are drawn into the Ring’s path as possession becomes destiny.
From Wotan’s broken laws emerges a mortal bloodline he cannot openly protect. Siegmund and Sieglinde defy the order imposed upon them, and their son Siegfried is born outside the machinery of the gods. Raised without fear, he becomes the one man who might face the curse without understanding it.
But innocence is not protection. Through deception, memory, and betrayal, Siegfried is pulled into the world the Ring has shaped — a world where love can be used, loyalty can be traded, and truth can be buried beneath power.
Brünnhilde, once Wotan’s most loyal Valkyrie, becomes the conscience of a collapsing order. Her love for Siegfried challenges the very system she was created to serve. As the curse reaches its final victims, she understands that the world cannot be saved by another act of possession.
In the end, the Ring returns to the fire. Valhalla burns. The old order falls. What remains is not triumph, but possibility: a world no longer ruled by gods, fear, or the hunger for absolute power.
